Senji SHINOHARA, Makoto OOI, Tokuya NIKAIDO

We have been operating a Total Office Automation System (TheOA) that integrates the systems of nucleus business, group ware, information retrieval and electronic sanction. TheOA system has a Windows user interface and features characteristics of electronic sanction treated in various electronic slips and information retrieval, which are managed by distributed server databases. First, we define the basic considerations of electronic sanction in the TheOA system and discuss the characteristics of workflow systems to administer flow control of electronic slits. Second, we show some examples of electronic sanction in TheOA applications. They include a sanction system to authenticate various slits in a lump, an official tour system that is one of the most frequent daily businesses and a high security labor work form system characterized by attached papers and various flow paths controlled by workflow systems. Lastly, we summarize the subject of electronic sanction in OA systems in the future and describe the necessity of technical revolution to support these systems.
