Overhead rigid conductor lines, which feature easier maintenance than catenary systems, are difficult to cope with the running speed of express trains on narrow-gauge lines, since they do not have elasticity against pantographs in current collection. Therefore, we developed a new rigid conductor line for high-speed narrow-gauge lines, and adopted it for a revenue service line to measure current collection characteristics. According to the results we obtained, it ensures stable train operation on such lines.
