Psychological aptitude tests are being carried out for the train operation staff for the purpose of securing train operation safety. We searched for a test which can predict the human error which may be caused under the present work situation. First, we interviewed the experts of a railroad company and identified the errors that may be caused. Next, we carried out personal computer experiments which imitate occurrence of these errors and applied 20 kinds of test to 79 subjects. Consequently, correlation was found between the error occurrence tendency in the experiments and the test results. Based on these results, we have proposed the candidates of the effective tests according to the kinds of works.
