@The bridge foundation structures that apply concrete-filled tubular steel (called CFT) members to piles, have higher seismic resistance and are easer to construct. To apply CFT members effectively to piles, we carried out cyclic bending load tests for CFT members and investigated the influence of the adhesion between the tubular steel and the filled concrete, slenderness ratio of the members and the axial tension force on the resistance capacity and ductility of the CFT members. Based on the test results, we proposed nonlinear characteristics to be used for seismic design of CFT members applied to piles.
