Technical Visits
  • Technical visits are scheduled as described below. Regular registration participants who have registered in advance before coming to the Congress will be able to go on two visits which are included in the Regular registration fee: one visit on October 21 and one visit on October 22.
  • The optional technical visit T7 on October 23 & 24 is for participants who have registered in advance before coming to the Congress, and requires an additional fee.
  • The technical visit for which you are registered is written on the Technical Visit Ticket included in the Congress Kit
  • Please bring the Technical Visit Ticket with you when you board the bus.
  • Participants in any of the following technical visits are urged to be prompt and gather at the Meeting Point in front of the Main Entrance of RTRI on Map 1, 10 minutes before the departure times shown below:

Thursday, October 21
  • Y1: Yamanashi Maglev Test Line (RTRI & JR Central) departs from at 8:30 (PH at 8:00)
     Note that Y1 participants will not be able to attend the Closing Session.
  • Y2: Yamanashi Maglev Test Line (RTRI & JR Central) departs from at 11:00
  • T1: Shinkansen Ohi Train Depot (JR Central) departs from at 11:00
  • T2: Shinkansen General Control Center (JR East) and Ohi Workshop (JR East)
    departs from at 11:00
  • T3: Construction Site of the Minato Mirai 21 Line in Yokohama (Japan Railway Construction Public Corporation) departs from at 11:00
Friday, October 22
  • Y3: Yamanashi Maglev Test Line (RTRI & JR Central) departs from at 8:30 (PH at 8:00)
  • Y4: Yamanashi Maglev Test Line (RTRI & JR Central) departs from at 11:00 (PH at 10:30)
  • T4: Shinkansen Ohi Train Depot (JR Central) departs from at 9:00 (PH at 8:30)
  • T5: Shinkansen General Control Center (JR East) and Ohi Workshop (JR East) departs from at 9:00 (PH at 8:30)
  • T6: Construction Site of the Minato Mirai 21 Line in Yokohama (Japan Railway Construction Public Corporation) departs from at 9:00 (PH at 8:30)
Saturday & Sunday, October 23 & 24, Optional (additional fee required)
  • T7: Optional Technical Visit to Maihara Wind Tunnel Technical Center (RTRI) and Kyoto Station Building (JR West)
