A Generating System of Control Circuit Diagrams for Level Crossing
using Object-Oriented Design Method
Satoshi SEKINE, Norio TOMII
In recent years, improvement works of control circuits for level crossing are
on the increase out of necessity for speedup of trains and the expansion of the
transport capacity. Consequently, we have to draw a complex control circuit diagram
specifying certain improvement conditions. We have developed a prototype system
based on a personal computer, which facilitates drawing such diagrams quite easily.
From track layouts given by users, the system generates two control circuits,
namely, one before and the other after the improvement. Then it produces an
improvement plan diagram by comparing these two. In the whole system we have
introduced the object-oriented design method, in which it is easy to substitute
pieces of equipment in the railway for objects on the computer system.
