A survey was conducted on car drivers to identify the features of 3 types of violations at a level crossing against eight other typical traffic violations. "Break through a barriered crossing" and "Go into a crossing just after alarming" are considered socially to blame, dangerous, with no merit and rationality, and classified into the same group as "Violate a red signal" and "Drunken driving". On the other hand, "Into a crossing at no alarm, without mandatory stopping" is considered rather safe, with a merit and little nuisance to other traffic, and classified into the same group as "Move on under a yellow signal", "Illegal parking", and so on.
