Development of Elastic Rail Fastening System for Unti-Vibration

As a countermeasure for noise and vibration from the slab track, an elastic fastening system is developed. This system is composed of a rabber pad sandwiched between top and bottom tie plates. Results of performance test indicate that a vertical spring constant of 13MN/m and it has enough durability to the load 10^6 times B load. We are looking forward to experimental installation of fastening system on a straight or a gentle-curved section of a narrow-gauge line and observation of the situation.
