The "SCM (Superconducting magnet) resiliently-mounting method" has been studied and developed for the purpose of the achieve better riding comfort in the sidewall levitation system. In this method, the SCM is mounted by SCM supporting devices, and the SCM and bogie frame are elastically coupled using spring elements. Two types of SCM supporting devices and several controlling systems were developed for the vehicle MLU002N on the Miyazaki Maglev Test Track. Also, the effects of the "SCM resiliently-mounting method" on riding comfort, and basic functions for wheel-supported running, levitated running, and the transition between these modes were confirmed by running tests of MLU002N. In this paper, the development of "resiliently mounted SCM bogies" and their properties are reported.
