Development of Guideway Inspection Car

In maglev railway, the irregularity in levitation coil, runway and wheel guideway
induce car vibrations. They worsen riding quality. In maintenance of guideway,
guideway irregularity inspection is done for keeping the comfortable and running
safe. A guideway inspection car inspects guideway irregularities. Development of
the guideway inspection car has been pushed at Miyazaki Test Track up to now.
Development of a new guideway inspection car for Yamanashi Test Track is under way.
This paper describes the development progress on the guideway inspection car for
Yamanashi Test Track.
