Earthquake-resistant for Railway Structures

Serious damages of railway structures were caused by the
Hyogoken-Nanbu earthquake which occurred on 17 Jamuary 1995.
After this earthquake, many people researched the cause of
damages of structures by static and dynamic analyses.
In this paper, I described the contemporary earthquake
resistant design method for briges, the causes of damages
of bridges by some analyses and subjects for new earthquake
resistant design method.
