Mechanism of Derailment Pheomena with Railway Vehicle

First, this paper gives basic explanation of derailment phenomena,
descrides a continuous measuring method of forces between wheel and rail,
recently developed and a new derailment evaluation criteria which we
now propose. Next, an outline of the simulation program is given, which
is under development to make clear the mechanism of derailment phenomena
in earthquake, some results obtained by this program are cited and
research problems which we must treat hereafter are suggested.
