Dynamic Settlement Test and Ballast Pressure Analysis on Ballasted Ladder Track

The maintenance reduction effect of the Ladder Sleeper was quantitatively studied from the view points of ballast pressure reduction. Following tests and analyses were conducted; (1)the effect of Ladder Sleeper section properties and ground conditions on ballast pressure was analytically studied; (2)repetitive dynamic loading test was conducted to the Ballasted Ladder Track using DYLOC test machine; (3)ballast pressure and ballast shear stress were studied using FEM analysis.
