Running Performance on Ballasted Ladder Track
Michiaki OYADO, Nobuyuki MATSUMOTO, Hajime WAKUI
The running performance on Ballasted Ladder Track was analyzed using a dynamic
interaction analysis program DIASTARS. Through this study, the following are
revealed; (1)very good riding comfort is ensured even when the sleeper is not
supported uniformly; (2)high running safety is ensured by the Ladder Sleeper
even when a large unsupported section exists; and (3)a larger interval of
connectors may be possible without spoiling the running performance on
Ballasted Ladder Track.
