Study on a Train Approach Sensor Using the Laser Radar

We have sought for a sensor equipment a suitable for detection of train approach.As a result we have developed a system of train approach sensor using the laser radar.This system calculates the distance to a train by a laser radar with the function of tracking the train location. Train stop detection is Remarkable feature of this system.This function is appropriate for controlling the crossing on regular time basis. This paper reports on basic ability of this system,result of field test in reference to the weather data.
