Preloaded/Prestressed Geosynthetic-Reinforced Soil Retaining Wall Method(PL/PS GRS Method) is a method which aimed at increasing substantially the stiffness of geosynthetic-reinforced soil retaining walls. Using this method, long span bridges can be constructed on the soil retainig wall. Reported topics are three; the basic mechanism of PL/PS GRS Method, the rheological properties of the backfill soil with laboratory tests and the behavior of field full-scale models.
