Diagnosis Method of Contact Line Overlap Composition by Inspection Car Data

Overlap composition(air joint) on SHINKANSEN which induces rapid progress of wear in contact wire is already reported. It is important for suppression of such progressive wear to avoid such a composition. If overlap composition could be diagnosed from inspection car(doctor yellow) data, it would improve efficiency of contact line maintenance. Use of contact force would be more effective for diagnosis, but such method of diagnosing by contact force is still under development. Therefore we studied a method of diagnosing overlap composition by pantograph displacement data collected by inspection car.
