Track Maintenance Target Value for 300‡q/h or Higher Operation of Shinkansen

E.YAZAWA, H.TAKAI

This spring, operation speed was raised up to 275‡q/h on Tohoku Shinkansen line and 300‡q/h on Sanyo Shinkansen line. For these operations, track engineers improved accuracy of track alignment by 40m-chord method to keep good riding comfort. In this paper, a track maintenance target value of 40m-chord method by computer simulation is proposed for good riding quality in 300‡q/h or higher operation. As a result of this simulation, only a little difference is found between new proposal and current track maintenance target value adopted in JR companies.
