We have built the prototype of a support system for reliability analysis which organically integrates the functions such as the reliability analysis detabase, reliability analysis for specific equipment and rolling stock system reliability analysis. It has been verified that the functions to analyze the reliability of specific equipment can easily pass a judgment on the analytical results. The rolling stock system reliability analyzing function which serves as an FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) editor, can facilitate inputting and calculation of FT.
