For the purpose of increasing the acceleration and deceleration of SHINKANSEN train, a method of adjusting the order pattern that is referred to in the acceleration and deceleration force control, according to the adhesion states of the wheels, has been developed. Against the existing pattern that is defined by the notch position and the running speed, the method developed adjusts the form (level) of the pattern by the rates of wheel slips and skids while running. The adjusted pattern fitting each wheel adhesion charactor, prevents the wheel slip and skid to the utmost, and makes full use of the adhesive tractive force.
