This paper describes how to predict a lifetime subject to deterioration for electric equipment by the system reliability theory. We introduce the concept of "uncertainty" to overcome the difficulty in evaluation. Application to the prediction of the lifetime for a kind of digital equipment shows that this method will be effective for solving a kind of problem, for example, assurance with the worst case problem.
