Countermeasures against EMI of Electric Motor Vehicles Using PWM Inverter

High-speed switching action of PWM inverter is being further advanced for electric motor vehicles. Due to this high-speed switching action, extensive high-frequency electromagnetic noise emerges. Therefore countermeasures against electromagnetic interference of electric motor vehicles become increasingly important. So, the principle of EMI, transmission routes and means to prevent noise on Vehicles shall systematically be studied. This report describes the theory and countermeasure principle of EMI prevention and discusses various examples of countermeasures for electric motor vehicles.
