MAGLEV vehicles with superconducting magnets have a high magnetic field around the magnets. We must steadily decrease magnetic flux density in the interior by magnetic shield. We manufactured an interior mock-up with magnetic shield at real size for vehicles for the Yamanashi test line. We performed a number of experiments to measure the magnetic field and study the performance of the magnetic shield. We confirmed the satisfactory effect of the magnetic shield.
