We performed running tests with a ground coil short-circuited. The situation examines one of the accidents that could occur in the Maglev vehicle running. Also, we performed the test in which we forced the superconducting coil (SC coil) on the opposite side of the already quenched coil to quench to stabilize the motion of the vehicle. The results of the short-circuited ground coil tests showed that the SC coils were not quenched and the Maglev vehicle had no damage. The results of the tests involving forced quenching of the opposing SC coil indicated that the possibility of undesired lateral forces decreased by using the emergency de-energizing system.
