The Low-Maintenance Effects of Ladder Tracks

Hiromi INOUE, Michiaki OYADO

Low-maintenance effects of ladder tracks were tested by numerical analyses and dynamic loading tests. These tests showed that the amount of maintenance required by ladder tracks is 1/8 to 1/4 times that required by close-tie tracks. When parts with adjacent longitudinal beams are connected, further improvement is possible. The connecting beams were found to have sufficient resistance to fatigue.
