The needs of library users diversify every day as the information technology develops. They want to receive services that can be accessed "always," "everywhere," "simply" and "with liberty" without limitation of time and place. At the Railway Technical Research Institute, therefore, we are now developing a railway technical information providing system at the next-generation library (electronic library). This paper outlines the configuration, service menu, and other features of the system.
