In the new seismic design method adopted for railway structures in Japan, it is checked whether the response value obtained by a dynamic analysis satisfies the necessary seismic performance of the structure. The dynamic analysis requires a hysteresis model which appropriately expresses the dynamic characteristic of members. The authors have already proposed a hysteresis model of concrete encased steel column members based on cyclic loading tests. This report verifies the validity of the proposed hysteresis model by the pseudo-dynamic test.
