Research of The Brake Control System for Advanced ATC System

  Tracking brake control which is required in advanced signaling systems such as Digital ATC effectively reduces traveling time and upgrades riding comfort, so it will significantly improve passenger service. Because the braking pattern from high speed to a stop is composed of continuous analog data, a new control scheme is required to make the train speed trace the braking pattern. We have investigated a new brake control system and obtained a satisfactory result on the control performance in running tests using conventional Shinkansen train.
