Application of Internet technique to OA system

  This is a report on the Intranet System for the next-generation OA system on the basis of RTRI's OA system. We developed a prototype of Internet type OA system, and summarized the features of system construction and system development technique. We systematized an evaluation model to which mathematical analysis is applied for capacity evaluation of the system, and developed a simulator for multi-use situation of server. With the simulator and capacity evaluation tool, we measured the response time, evaluated the validity based on the results of mathematical analysis model researches, and estimated response time by changing the rate of arrival. We propose to construct the next-generation Internet OA system with Web browser as a client, and Web server, Database server, Groupware server, and Certification Server.
