A Non-prism Laser Distance Meter to the Survey of Cross Section Contour on Dangerous Slope for Rock-fall

Masahiko SAMIZO, Tomoyasu SUGIYAMA, Toshitaka NARA

The survey of cross section contour on dangerous slopes for rock-fall along railways are difficult because of their cliff features. Therefore, we measured cross section contour of steep slopes by using a non-prism laser distance meter, and compared the measurement accuracy obtained by this method with that by a more accurate measurement. We also examined the basic conditions for survey by using the meter of different cites of a slope. As a result, we were able to determine the cross section contour at different cites by using a non-prism laser distance meter.
