Vertical Loading Test of Hybrid Pile Consisting of Steel Pipe and Soil Cement

Shiro TANAMURA, Masayuki KODA, Masaki IKEGAME

The hybrid pile consisting of steel pipe and soil cement was developed to (1) reduce excavated soil, (2) noise and vibration during pile installation, (3) ensure high seismic performance and bearing capacity, (4) implement stable execution control and maintain constant pile quality. There are two execution methods. One is to install a steel pipe during the construction of a soil cement column. The other is to install a steel pipe after the construction. This paper discusses a vertical loading test of the hybrid pile to install a steel pipe after its construction.
