We have proposed some facility management systems using a facility description language. In those systems, the facility description language determines the positional relation between symbols according to the ledger database which defines facility attributes. In case there are no ledgers for facilities however, it is impossible to generate drawings according to the database. Therefore, we developed a method to construct a database as a facility ledger, by arranging facilities on the drawing interactively and setting attribute data. Thus, it has become possible to register facilities newly and correct existing data on the drawing. We show an example of the method of data writing on drawings applied to electric power facilities.
