Static cyclic and dynamic loading tests were conducted on a 1/2.5 scale-modeled reinforced concrete rigid frame pier system that has steel braces and a damper. In the static cyclic loading test, high transverse rigidity and high energy dissipation ability are observed with the system in which the brace is anchored at the center of RC column. In the dynamic loading test, significant vibration reduction effect, which increases the train running safety during earthquake motion, is observed.
