Experimental Study on Seismic Performance of Hybrid Rigid Frame Structure

  Concrete-Filled Steel Tubular columns called CFT columns are now drawing attention as a structural member of high seismic resistibility. Authors have already proposed a quantitative method of evaluating the seismic performance of CFT columns based on experimental results with a single pier model specimen. However, it is not so clear whether the above-mentioned evaluation method represent the seismic performance of hybrid rigid frame structures which are composed of CFT columns and a Concrete Encased Steel beam. In this paper, the validity of the method is studied through an experiment using a hybrid rigid frame model.
