To evaluate the applicability of the monitoring method of mountain tunnel deformation with optical fiber, two model tests and a field execution test were performed. It was judged that the method was effective for long-period remote monitor of the deformation of long tunnels. The method is also effective to monitor the influence of nearby construction work.
