A number of materials are used in the railway field. However, most of these materials, organic materials in particular, are not reused or recycled. PVC and FRP products are used in the passenger rooms of rolling stock to improve service and amenity. After used, they are simply land-filled as non-combusting wastes like other organic materials. This paper introduces various recycled samples made of these products for the purpose of effective use. We studied the mechanical properties and uses of recycled samples. It was found that some recycled samples showed efficient durability under degradable conditions. Based on these results, some applicable uses were also proposed.
