This paper reports the survey results on the literature regarding research and development to reduce train-in-duced ground vibration. The survey shows that reducing car weight, softening of track supporting suspension and wall-in-ground have been applied to practical use and their effect to reduce vibration can be estimated. Other measures to reduce vibration have also been researched. However methods to estimate their efficiency are still under development.
