The MLX01 superconducting Maglev vehicles have entered the seventh year of running test on the Yamanashi Maglev Test Line. In 2002, new types of guideway, ground coils and vehicles were introduced into the Test Line and vehicle-running tests started to confirm the characteristics of these new technologies. This paper reports the current status of the vehicle-running tests and recent development of the new technologies on the Test Line.
