As one of the recent topics for signalling, digital ATC, an intelligent train control system mounted on a car, has been developed and has been introduced for Shinkansen. For narrow-gauge lines, the development of a new system, safer, easy-to-maintain and at lower cost, is expected.
  In the paper, we describe the topics of signalling and telecommunication system developed by the Railway Technical Research Institute, not introduced system in the transactions of this month.
