This paper discusses the quick inspection method of earthquake-damaged viaduct by non-contact microtremor measurement. First, a technique is developed to inspect the damage levels of the upper and lower ends of an RC column of viaduct. In this technique, the dynamic characteristics of a viaduct, which are used as the damage judgment indices, are compared with the damage judgment criteria based on numerical simulation. Next, an accurate non-contact measuring technique for structure microtremor is proposed by using an improved Laser Doppler Velocimeter. The microtremor measurements of a miniature rigid frame model are presented in order to verify the efficiency of the proposed method.
