Running Safety Analysis for Vehicles on Structures during Earthquake

  The running safety of train on structure was studied using a dynamic interaction analysis program for vehicle and structure (DIASTARS). In the analysis, nonlinear behaviors of air spring and axle spring with stoppers in vehicle are taken into consideration. The hysteresis behavior of structure is also taken into consideration to obtain the vehicle response for earthquake motion. Through the analysis, the running safety limit curve for structures with different natural periods are obtained. The influence of nonlinear behavior of structure on the running safety limit is also obtained.
