In relation to the deterioration due to reinforcing bar corrosion caused by chloride ions which have been introduced from outside into concrete by diffusion, the critical chloride ion concentration and corrosion weight loss of reinforcing bar were studied experimentally. As a result, within the limits of this experiment, it was clarified that the critical chloride ion concentration was 1.5 kg/m3 at the depth of reinforcing bar and concrete started to crack at the corrosion weight loss of 170 mg/cm2 per unit corrosion area of reinforcing bar surface.
