We developed an X-shaped microphone array which has 2-dimensional sharp directivity to measure a sound source distribution in a short time. We localized acoustic sources of a model pantograph at the Large-Scale Low-Noise Wind Tunnel in Maibara to confirm the efficiency of this equipment. We assessed the acoustic output power of each member of the model by some point sources using the identification method. Experimental results show that this equipment is able to localize major sources of a pantograph and the identification method is useful for estimating the degree of acoustic contribution over a relatively high frequency range.
