A questionnaire survey was conducted to discuss measures to shift ticket-purchasing passengers from ticket-issuing counters to terminals. We offered proposals based on the findings from the survey, which include the facts that (1) 43% of passengers who used the counter did not know the services provided at such terminals; (2) 26% did not notice the terminal actually installed, even though they knew services available at terminals; (3) most of the passengers who had purchased tickets at terminals replied that it was easy to use the services; and (4) the ticket categories handled at the terminals did not satisfy the demands of passengers sufficiently.
