When tunnels are constructed in urban areas, it is often required to predict the vibration and structure-borne sound in nearby buildings. In order to establish a method for this purpose, it is needed to investigate the propagation properties of train-induced vibration from tunnels to the ground surface in detail. Therefore, we measured the vibration on the ground surface and in the ground and a tunnel structure located at the same site. The results of measurement are compared with those of numerical analysis to confirm the adequacy of the analysis method.
