Railway companies have taken various measures against the ill-mannered behaviors of passengers. Questionnaire and monitor surveys conducted on railway station users in core cities clarified the following. The degree of cognition is high for software measures to perform announcement or put up posters in trains or at stations. Depending on the ill-mannered deed or attribute of passengers, there are differences in the expectation of passengers for measures taken by railway companies. For some ill-mannered passengers, posters with data are more effective than conventional ones with illustrations. It will be effective to rely on the voice and images of suffers of ill manners in railway facilities.
