The shear strength of T-section reinforced concrete beams is normally calculated by regarding the section as a rectangle section on the safety side. In this research, a model load test was performed to examine the influence of the flange of the section on the shear strength. As a result, it was confirmed that calculated values become lower than experimental values increasingly as the sectional area of the flange increase and the influence of the flange thickness was larger than that of the width.
