In the development of superconducting Maglev system, it is important to reduce the costs to realize a commercial system. Simplifying the structure of ground coils effectively reduces the costs, but increases harmonic magnetic fields to intensify the vibration of on-board superconducting magnets (SCMs). Consequently, excessive vibration gives rise to large heat loss. We studied a superconducting magnet for simplified ground coils. This paper reports its design and the results of several analyses, emplacement test and running tests.
