Improvement of Pantograph Analysis Models and Compliance Characteristics of Pantographs

Takayuki USUDA,  Mitsuru IKEDA

In this paper, degree of freedom of the pantograph dynamics model is increased and a dynamics model is proposed in which the influence by the contact wire deviation, the pantograph-head interval and the pitching mode of a pan head support can be examined. Moreover for the verification of validity of this dynamics model, vibration testings are carried out, compliance characteristics are measured and validity has been confirmed. Furthermore by using this dynamics model, the improvement technique of the pantograph compliance characteristics such as shifting the natural frequency of a pantograph head has been proposed, and the effect has been checked by model calculation and the experiment.
