A large structure borne noise is, in general, radiated from the steel railway bridge because of its vibration which is induced by the high frequency contact force fluctuation between wheel and rail during the train passing. The floating ladder track, which consists of lightweight longitudinal concrete sleeper supported by low rigidity resilient member and can isolate the vibration from the track to the base structure, was expected to overcome the problem effectively so that a fundamental impact-loading test was conducted to evaluate the noise reduction performance using the track mounted on a H-shape steel beam. The acoustic pressure power generated from actual bridge member was also predicted using the test results.
